 “Renaissance Greats” Directions

There were so many great minds during the Renaissance.  Your team will bring one of these great people to life.  How?  By dramatizing an interview.

Our format is a Talk Show.  One partner plays the role of the Renaissance Great, while the other partner interviews you for one to two minutes.  In case of three partners, one should play the part of someone in the person’s life, and help demonstrate the works of that Renaissance Great.

Prepare by reading about your great person.  Familiarize yourself with his area of expertise.    Think of interesting follow-up questions to carry the conversation along.  There are sample questions on your biography card, but don’t limit yourself to these alone.

There will be one or more pictures on the screen as visual aids, so you should refer to them.  Ask Mrs. Hinkle to show you the pictures.

Write your script.  Rehearse, so you can deliver your interview smoothly.  Consider the quality criteria listed below.

During presentations, the audience will take notes for the history notebook.
