Earthquake Victims in Pakistan & India Need Supplies

Some three million people still have to find adequate shelter.

Remote mountain villages are facing the oncoming bitter winter.

Many mountain roads are too damaged for vehicles.  Even mules are being used to ferry supplies.

Since the magnitude 7.6 earthquake hit northern Pakistan and India on October 8, 2005, many people still need help.   Whole villages have been destroyed, leaving people without resources as the  winter snows are beginning.

Your used clothing could save a life.  Look in your closet for items you have outgrown:
  • jackets
  • sweaters
  • shoes (tie laces together)
  • socks (fold pairs inside out)
  • blankets

Bring your donations to Mrs. Hinkle in room 33 or Mrs. Pierce in room 43.  Redwood's earthquake relief effort is coordinated by Redwood parent Mrs. Saira Siddiqi, who is sending clothing and winter supplies through the United Nations.
