Civil Case: Marriage

Jim Nastics, a circus clown and juggler, wishes to marry Myra Chunkle, a wealthy heiress.  Both are twenty-five years old.  Although Myra is in love with the handsome and athletic Jim, her parents oppose the marriage, because they consider him low class and unworthy to marry their daughter. 

  1. Under Justinian Code, are they allowed to marry?

Criminal Case: Assault

Senator Wyant Chabuzzov was giving a campaign speech when he was interrupted by Don Annout, a homeless man.  Don challenged the senator's actions and insulted him for not helping the poor.  Don's outburst attracted a crowd.  When the senator attempted to push past him, Don punched him with his fist.

Laura Biden was visiting the market to buy a bolt of silk when she was robbed by Thad Hertz.   Hertz got away with 100 gold solidi.  Now Hertz has been arrested, found guilty, and is awaiting your judgment.

Civil Case: Witnessing a Will

Popular singer Kerry Oki, who is eighteen years old, wants to make a will.  Since his parents opposed his singing career, he doesn't want them to get any of his money.  As a witness, he has brought his girlfriend Olive Estar.
