is the assignment?

Your
group will work together to research and produce a poster
showing information about one of these states: the city-state
of Kilwa, the kingdom of Kongo, or the kingdom of Zimbabwe. The total
size
of the poster will be 12 by 18 inches unless requested larger. |

Requirements
|
Poster title must
show the name of the state. Each topic on the poster must contain:
- Title of the topic in capital letters
- Name of the person who researched and produced it
- Illustration (a visual symbol, drawing, magazine picture,
or computer picture)
- 4 to 5 facts
- Vocabulary words listed under "essential
vocabulary"

Quality
Criteria
|
- Clear
and understandable:
- Easy to read
and allows the
viewer to gain a clear understanding of the features of your state.
This
is the most important.
- Complete
and accurate:
- Includes all essential vocabulary.
- No errors of fact.
- Prominent
and appropriate visuals:
- Drawings,
pictures, maps, symbols, etc.,
which add meaning.
- For example, if trade consists of shipping, perhaps a
picture
of a sailing ship.
- Neatness:
- Proper materials: clean paper, rulers for straight
lines, markers, crayons
or pencils sharpened
- Straight writing, cutouts cut and glued neatly
